The costs of a translation are depending on:
* THE SOURCE LANGUAGE
The source language is the language of the original text, in my case English or French.
* THE NUMBER OF WORDS
The word count is calculated from the original text, so you know exactly where you stand.
* THE DESIRED DELIVERY DATE
* THE LEVEL OF COMPLEXITY OF THE TEXT
The more complex the text, the more time it takes to translate it professionally. For this reason, I would like to view the wording before I can offer you a quote. Please be assured that I will handle your document with the greatest confidentiality, even when the order is not assigned!
The tariffs are calculated according to the number of words ‘source language’ to translate and the technical complexity of the text. The rates vary from 9 eurocents to 12 Eurocents per source word. The minimum amount of the invoice is 35 Euros (base price).
Any translation order is covered by complete adhesion to the general conditions of provisions of services recommended by SFT (‘French Association of Translators’), with your order you will automatically agree to these. [link]
Proofreading and Editing Projects
The tariffs are calculated according to the number of words ‘source language’ to proofread and the technical complexity of the text. The rates vary from 3,5 to 5,5 Eurocents per word. The minimum amount of the invoice is 35 Euros (base price).
Other editorial services will be invoiced on a basic tariff of 35 Euros per hour.
For larger projects and/or projects that are on a monthly basis, there is a lower rate.
Any incidental expenses are charged to the customer after prior consultation.
Work required urgently will bear an additional cost of between 10-20%.
For very urgent projects an additional fee (10%) can be added to the rates mentioned above.
According to French law, article 293B of the general Code of Taxes, my tariffs do not include tax (VAT) (mode micro-entrepreneur).
